The social charter is a skeleton agreement, valid all over the world, between businesses and trade unions to promote humane working conditions in all business locations. At its core are the abolition of child labour and the equal treatment of all employees regardless of ethnic origin, skin colour, gender or religion. The agreement with the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers (IFBWW) has been ratified by a leading global trade union organisation with over 10 million members worldwide.

Our company should mean more to our employees than just the place where they work. It should be a work environment. This is why we believe it is very important for our employees to feel comfortable in their work place – and remain healthy as well! With a wide variety of free courses on offer, including Yoga and Pilates, we give them the opportunity to do something for themselves to maintain their health. Of course, health and safety at work is given very high priority at Schwan-STABILO Cosmetics. 15 safety officials deal with the maintenance and improvement of health and safety in the workplace. With our Careful! campaign, for example, we have been able to reduce the number of accidents by 61 %.

A company is made of people who think, feel and behave in different ways. We know that the individuality of our employees is one of the strengths of our company. This is why our corporate culture gives employees the scope to realise their individuality through their work. We appeal to social skills including responsibility and openness, but also the ability to stand up for oneself. We encourage the use of initiative and the courage to make changes. We communicate and consolidate these values in training sessions. As a result, we experience the extent of our employees’ identification with Schwan-STABILO Cosmetics every day.
