Review Beauty World Middle East 2007

For the 7th time, Schwan-STABILO Cosmetics took part in the BeautyWorld 2007 trade fair in Dubai. Along with many other cosmetics companies, we displayed our products in the so-called German Pavilion under the motto "Made in Germany": www.beautyworldme.german-pavilion.com

A total of 900 exhibitors from 55 countries registered for the Fair, and once again there were 23 regional pavilions. The number of visitors to the specialist fair rose by 30% to 16.000.

Dubai's importance as a distribution platform and trade centre for the surrounding region continues to show impressive growth.
A quick comparison illustrates this (source AHK (Chamber for Foreign Trade)):
With less than 10% of its population, the UAE achieve no less than three-quarters of the gross domestic product of its northern neighbour Iran (population of Iran 70 million, UAE 4.1 million)...!
The average annual growth rate for all sectors is around 10%, prospects for the C&T sector (cosmetics & toiletries) remain rosy with growth of approx. 12%.
Currently Health Care Centers with luxurious spas is a very apparent trend. This sector is growing by about 20% each year which is being further encouraged and expanded by the continued healthy growth of tourism.

Schwan-Stabilo Cosmetics is excited to be able to participate in this boom showing double-digit growth in this region - an excellent reason for us to come again!
